Honesty

I got a cheque for a scheduled payment from a client of mine the other day... a couple of days later I got another check from her, same amount... there wasn't another payment due for a while, so I found it rather odd to be getting a second check from her only days later. Before I went to deposit these cheques I figured I should double check with the client to see if this was her intention to make an advanced payment or something. When I called her and asked she kinda laughed, "Well I guess there are still some honest people out there." was her response.
Turns out she had lost the cheque she had written out to me on the street while walking through Osborne Village the other day, somebody found the check and mailed it to me, this person even put the clients return address on the outside of the envelope. They must of looked us up online and found our mailing address and sent it off to make sure the payment came through to us on time. If the person responsible for doing this is out there somewhere reading this, let me say THANK YOU! It's great to know that there are still caring honest people like you out there.

Fresh from the studio

I have to admit I'm terrible when it comes to getting my own daughter into the studio for photos. I have certain clients come by and I'm like Oh yeah I guess it's time for pictures of Kai :-) Anyway this was one of those times where we ended up in the studio, actually I think she was the one asking to go into the studio for photos. I played around with some available light shots, I just love the look you get from them.

Take your best shot

So I did this awesome photo shoot today of a beautiful model... it was great to get away from the cold for a while and have some fun on the beach... well okay so maybe I didn't leave my office. This site is hilarious... I came across it today and figured I'd share it on here. You become the photographer and can virtually take photos of this model ... check it out for your self.

Song Tapper

Okay so I came across this site today... have you ever had a song in your head but you just can't think of the name of the song, or the words for that matter but you know the beat of it? Well that's where song tapper comes in... it can waste a lot of time as you play with it but it's crazy enough I had to share it with you. All you do is tap out the music with your space bar and seconds later you get the name of the song or songs that use that rythm. Give it a try.

Just had to share this with everyone... it's the latest gift collection I came up with for a friend/client of mine, I absolutely love it... oh yeah the cute kid doesn't hurt either :)

How to eat a cookie

So we had a fun evening tonight... Kai showed me how to eat a cookie like the lady that she is.





Being like her mother :) she likes to be on the phone as well.. think I'll have to add a third line in the house.



And lastly... well this one is just plain cute... I love her in her house coat... there's nothing more cuddly than this. Love you Peanut, your Daddy's favorite :)

Winter Wonderland

Okay so I had the opportunity to photograph an up and coming model for her portfolio, Lauren McKenna. The weather was perfect... well as perfect as it gets in Manitoba in December, and the fresh layer of frost on everything was an added bonus for use as well. This is just one of the many amazing photos we got today... thanks for toughing it out in the snow without a jacket Lauren... you look awesome.

and when I say cool I mean really cool. I got home from this shoot and checked the weather, -30 with wind chill. I can't believe we where crazy enough to go out in this kind of weather to do wedding photos, but looking at the shots it was totally worth it.

Well it's been in the works for a while but we finally got our new site launched... I still need to do some "tweaking" on it, and I'll be adding some more galleries etc... but hey I don't think I'm ever done working on a website... it's never ending. Hey guys, thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to photograph both of you, it was a blast, well other than me almost losing my shoe in the mud :). Already??

So it appears that my daughter is going to be causing some trouble for me... she's just over 1 1/2 years old and she's already insisting on "driving". I think she might have some trouble reaching the pedals but she can definitely reach the horn :)
